We’re going to take a page from John August and try out some living room rules for the blog comments.

We will be moderating first time users to try to cut back on spam.  We require you to input your email address for identification purposes only, and won’t use it for any other purposes.

This is supposed to be an educational forum, so please keep it professional.  If you wouldn’t say it in a classroom or in your mother’s living room, don’t say it here.  If we have a problem with your behavior (if you’re being rude or uncivil to us or any other users here, for example), we’ll ask you to improve once.  If you are grossly out of line, don’t be surprised when we kick you out and/or delete your post.  This is our house, not yours.

And as a tip, don’t post a lot of links in your comment, because it will probably end up getting marked as spam.  If your comment hasn’t shown up in twenty-four hours, email us and we’ll check to see where it ended up.
